Why Study Nursing, Health Sciences and Social Care? The School of Health Science, Wellbeing and Society provides a range of courses in Nursing, Applied Social Care, Early Childhood Education and Care and Community Development and Youth Work. The courses offered are hugely successful and attract students who wish to work in caring and supportive areas of life. Combining academic study with hands-on practical experience, our courses are delivered in a supportive learning environment both on campus and in placement sites. While on placement you will get to meet people from all walks of life and will learn the skills needed to provide support, sometimes at the most vulnerable times in their lives. These are challenging yet very rewarding careers.

* Early Childhood Education and Care students can progress to Year 3 of the Level 7 in their course on successful completion of the Level 6. **Applied Social Care, Early Childhood Education and Care or Community Development and Youth Work students can progress to Year 4 of the Level 8 in their course area on successful completion of the Level 7.
