Student experience
Ricky Small (Current Student) Returning to education as a mature student at GMIT surpassed all my expectations. The Level 7 Software and Electronic Engineering course educates in areas that enabled me to secure an excellent work placement at Jaguar Land Rover Ireland. Seeing how much I excelled throughout the course, I decided to apply for the Level 8 add-on year to gain an Honours Bachelors degree. With the standard of lectures and experience I received throughout the Level 7 course, I am confident that the Level 8 will have me ready for employment within the industry.
Student experience
David Collins David is the Operations Manager with Micro Focus. He graduated with an Honours Degree from GMIT's Electronic Engineering Department. He also has qualifications in CCA XenServer/Xen App, Microsoft Hypervisor and Virtualisation. David is a GPA/GAA Hurling All Star (2012) and is currently on the National Executive of the GPA.

Andzelika Kosciolek My time in GMIT has been the best
experience in my life. On my first day in GMIT, our class was told that right now we may know very little about electronics, but by the end of this course we will find out everything we need to know to start our great future.
I remembered these words and I can confirm that they were true. I am happy I could learn in a friendly environment. All lecturers and staff were extremely helpful. With the skills and motivation gained in GMIT I had no problem getting a job and I have started my career with Intel, Shannon as a Product Development Engineer.
