“GMIT has always been known for its hands-on approach to teaching, which is a big plus when it comes to providing practical solutions to real world problems, especially in the IT sector. The course itself can be challenging at times, but the lecturers are always there to help us out. I think GMIT’s Software Development Course is very thorough and I am well equipped to apply the knowledge I have learnt in the IT fi eld. Even though technology is evolving at a rapid pace, the Software Development course modules are updated regularly to be in sync with emerging technologies.” Jeremy Yon Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia Currently employed as a Trainee Engineer with Ericsson in Athlone

“GMIT is a great place to study abroad as they genuinely care about all of their international students and make the transition as easy as possible! Anytime I had a problem or even a silly question they would answer it with enthusiasm and reliable information, they understand that this is a big transition and are there for you one hundred percent. The courses themselves are genuinely amazing, I’m studying Film and Documentary and the classes are very hands on and interactive. My class consists of about 40 students that are split in to two groups for certain classes, which means you get one-on-one interaction with the lecturer multiple times a class, and you can build a trusting bond with your teachers and have real conversations with them, which is invaluable as they all have successful careers in the fi eld we are hoping to go in to. The equipment we have to work with is superb, modern equipment that the people who are working in our fi eld today are using, so we are becoming equipped with those skills ready to walk right into our respective fi elds. Overall, GMIT is a school I trust with my education and wellbeing because I know they care about me as a student but also as a person.”
