Student experience

Conor Gill Over the quick four years studying in GMIT, I gained a huge amount of knowledge in all areas related to Marketing and Sales. I experienced insights into my chosen field of study through access to great industry guest speakers, work experience and field trips to the likes of Jameson Distillery in Dublin and an artisan cheese maker in Co Galway. One

of the best things I enjoyed about attending GMIT was the size of the classes. It gave me an opportunity to get to know my classmates and lecturers. My time at GMIT has allowed be to meet some fantastic people and has given me the knowledge and encouragement to pursue a post grad masters qualification in Marketing Practice. I’m currently working in an exciting Marketing and Sales role.

Aideen Coen Presentations were a large part of many assignments throughout the four years of the course, as a result of this my confidence and ability to communicate and speak publicly has been hugely developed. The mixture of small class sizes, field trips and work experience kept the course exciting while giving me greater insight into the working

world. I completed my work experience in the fashion industry, and it became an area I wanted to explore further. In my final year I was delighted to be awarded a first-class honours degree in Marketing & Sales. This has opened doors for me in pursuing a career working in marketing and sales, presenting opportunities to travel abroad to further my career.
