The Health Promotion Research Centre collaborates with national, European and international agencies, including the EU and WHO, on the development and evaluation of health promotion initiatives.

Health Promotion Research Our Health Promotion Research Centre (HPRC) , the only one of its kind in Ireland, has been designated as a World Health Organisation (WHO) Collaborating Centre for Health Promotion Research since 2009. The centre produces high-quality research that supports the development of best practice and policy in health promotion. The objectives of the HPRC include: • The generation and dissemination of health promotion research that is of national and international relevance; • The translation of research that will lead to the development of healthy public policy and evidence-informed practice. The HPRC collaborates with national, European and international agencies, including the EU and WHO, on the development and evaluation of health promotion initiatives. The centre has an active multidisciplinary research programme in place, with 250 staff undertaking independent and commissioned research work.
