Schools’ Liaison Office
The Schools’ Liaison Office develops and promotes communications between GMIT and second level students, parents and guidance counsellors. It provides guidance and information on the range of learning experiences and career paths available on all programmes in GMIT’s five campuses in Galway, Mayo, Letterfrack and Mountbellew. We understand that choosing a programme to study and what college to attend are major decisions for students and their families. Our services include: • Annual Open Days and Information Sessions
The ATS Project is funding through the Programme for Access to Higher Education (PATH) Strand 3. The ATS Project has two main elements: 1) Pathway to College – delivering programmes to schools and communities to create pathways to third level education for students from specific socio-economic groups. 2) Mentoring for Transition and Success – Foróige, in conjunction with the ATS Project, has developed a College Mentoring Programme.
This formal mentoring programme has been designed to support the transition into higher education for students from socio-economic groups.
