GMIT Prospectus 2021/22

FEES There are two main elements to Undergraduate Fees at GMIT: 1. Student Contribution – all students are liable for the Student Contribution fee. The fee for the 2021/2022 Academic Year is €3,000. 2. Tuition Fee – the government will pay the Tuition Fee for most first-time, full-time EU Undergraduates as part of the Free Fees Initiative. If you are not covered under the Free Fees Initiative, you may be liable for the tuition element of your fee or be liable for the Non-EU fee. Many of our courses also have a Materials Fee which is not covered by grant authorities. The current fees are available on the GMIT website www.gmit.ie/fees-and-grants . Students who have previously attended third level education may be liable for Tuition Fees and Student Contribution. Students taking repeat modules will be liable for repeat Tuition Fees and Student Contribution. Non-EU applicants may be liable for the International Fee. Please refer to the GMIT website for further information on fee assessment or contact the Fees Office on +353 91 742139 . The website www.studentfinance.ie also provides valuable information on grants and other financial supports. GRANTS All new grant applications must be made online to SUSI (Student Universal Support Ireland) through www.susi.ie or telephone +353 761 087874 . If approved, SUSI will pay the Student Contribution on behalf of the student directly to GMIT. It is not necessary to have received an offer of a college place or to be enrolled in college in order to apply online. For students who have paid this fee in the interim, this will be refunded by the grants office. For further information on grants please log onto: www.citizensinformation.ie or www.studentfinance.ie
